How Much Are You Worth?

Posted on by Karen Cioffi

“If you put a small value on yourself, rest assured that the world will not raise your price.”

I love this quote and wish I knew who wrote it – I’d love to give the author credit.

This quote is so appropriate for all writers. You have to value your writing skills and your expertise, especially when you’re starting out. But even seasoned writers struggle with this problem.

As a writer, you need to set your prices and stick to them.

If you need help deciding what you should charge, search the internet. Find services similar to yours – this should give you a sense of what to charge. Just be sure to take into account your level of experience and adjust your fees accordingly.

Another thing to consider is how long it will take to complete a project, whether you charge by project or per hour. And always anticipate that it will take longer or be more work than you initially thought.

I almost always charge by the project.

Whether you need coaching, editing, rewriting, or ghostwriting, let me take a look at your story. Let’s get your idea off the launch pad or your outline into a publishable story today!

Or maybe you’d rather do-it-yourself. Check out my book, How to Write a Children’s Fiction Book.

SCAM ALERT

There are ghosting sites that are stealing the profiles of reputable ghostwriters and putting them on their sites. MY SERVICES ARE ONLY OFFERED HERE. If you see my profile on another site stating I work for them, they’re scammers.
